Cebu Safari is going to give you an extraordinary adventure and hybrid experience that you will never forget! The combination of zoo and adventure park in Carmen, Cebu, was founded by the famous Michael J. Lhuiller. The whole land area is around 2,000 Hectares, which is four times bigger than Hongkong Disneyland, and two times bigger than Boracay Island. Not only that, it is the second biggest safari in the Philippines, with 970 housed animals belonging to over 124 different species.

4 IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

It is a must to secure a wristband ticket. The wristband will serve as admission to your adventure in Cebu Safari. This must be worn at all times while inside the park, and it can only be used once.

Second, secure a personal copy of their Map or Directional Post. Remember that you are having your adventure in a 187-hectare vicinity. Thus, it is important to have the Map or Directional Post with you.

Third, stay close to your tour guides and follow their instructions at all times, as it is possible to be lost inside the park.

Fourth, avail the tram. This is optional and free. Exclusive rides, however, come with additional payment and is highly recommended.

EXPERIENCING THE THRILL

Cebu Safari offers an all-in-one adventure for you! Aside from the zoo, you can also experience aerial and land adventures such as zip line, sky bike, giant swing and ATV.

Cebu Safari Aerial Adventure is a nerve-wrecking, but fulfilling, adventure. Recorded deepest in Asia, it has a height of 671 meters above sea level and a length of 1.3 kilometers. It is the same with other parks, EXCEPT you will get to have a view of the animals below.

“We were completely shaking from start to finish. It felt like we were on the verge of death! The releasing part was the most terrifying. But when we arrived in the middle, the view was superbly beautiful and astonishing, that all of us forgot that we were still hanging and the wild animals were just beneath, ready to eat us! “

THE MOST AWAITED “MEET AND GREET”

To be able to see the animals up close, you have the option to walk (but there’s also a big chance to be eaten alive!), so we highly suggest that you ride a tram.

WHITE LION & WHITE BENGAL TIGER

Our first ever wild animal encounter, plus the rarest among all, were the “The White Lion” and “The Big White Cat”. Yes, they are white, not albino or an old lion, but naturally white. Lions are sleepyheads and they often rest, but they aren’t considered as nocturnal. When lions are hungry, they will take the opportunity to hunt their prey. By the way, the white lions were imported from France and Germany, and they speak no English! So, in case you will be trapped inside, they will still eat you because NO and STOP are not in their vocabulary. Kidding aside! Please be assured that passengers are safe and protected inside the tram.
 
Unlike lions, tigers are active during daytime, and even more aggressive than lions. During the encounter, we actually thought we could already live with the wilds. It didn’t scare us, and it gave us more courage to interact with them. By the way, White Bengal Tigers can be seen closely and visibly because visitors are separated by a durable glass wall.

AFRICAN SAVANNA

Kudos to Cebu Safari for planning and for making sure to maintain a healthy and well-balanced ecosystem for our wild friends. It is amazing that these animals are encouraged to live and interact freely with nature and other animals. They are completely living out the true definition of Savanna, which is a mixture of woodland and grassland, dispersed trees, avoiding a closed canopy, and getting enough access of sunlight to reach the ground.

MUST TRY ACTIVITY

CROCODILE FEEDING

We call them “A Pack of Friends Having Fun”. There were just too many of them sleeping, playing and eating. Just imagine this, scattered underneath us were a total of 52 crocodiles – 49 were small and 3 were big ones!

MACAW FEEDING

Macaw is a type of parrot. By the way, it’s pronounced /məˈkɔː/ – MA KO! Parrots are skillful animals. They are just naturally good communicators (but of course it takes days of training). Macaw is even categorized as the most talkative bird! Their wings and tails are blue, and their chests are yellow or gold. They have green foreheads, white faces, and black beaks. You can feed them with seed during your visit.

PETTING

Petting is a give and take response. When animals feel that they are being taken care of, they will give the exact same care and love to you, but of course in their own love language.

BIRD SHOW

The whole bird show will take about 30 – 40 minutes. It’s a combination of laughter and surprise. The show will entertain you with intelligent birds that are calculating, spelling, and following instructions from their instructor. You will also get a chance to be acquainted with them as well. You surely don’t want to miss this!

ENCHANTED GARDEN

Aside from adventure, Cebu Safari also cultivated its own garden. This is so Filipino!!! The garden, called Gardens of the World, was inspired by different types of gardens all over the world. There is also a display of Mr. Lhuiller’s collection of orchids, called Michel’s Garden.
